A bucket truck flipped over in Point Pleasant Beach Tuesday morning.
It happened around 10 a.m. on the 600 block of Academy Drive. The truck arrived at the home, but due to recent heavy rains, the ground became too soft.
The truck fell about 30 feet into a backyard, just scraping the house.
“The boom crashed into the house, impaled itself in the backyard and the guy rolled out of the bucket pretty much unhurt,” says homeowner Blair Elzenbeck.
A specialized big rig and utility towing service helped get the upended bucket truck out of the backyard.
