Widespread testing is attributed as one of the key factors in beating coronavirus, and doctors with Brunswick Urgent Care are helping make that possible -- regular and antibody tests. Anyone can get tested, even if they don’t have symptoms.
Testing for sick patients has been available since around March, but as more was learned about the virus and how it manifests so differently in everyone, doctors at the facility decided they needed to make tests available to as many people as possible.

“Well, that’s the way we’re going to prevent spread because a lot of patients don’t have any symptoms at all with the coronavirus,” says Dr. Raffi Kapitanyan. “Patients are very appreciative of us offering this test because a lot of these tests weren’t offered in mid-March into April, so the community has been great, very thankful. So, we’re trying to just provide this testing so we help out with the numbers and we increase our ability to gather data so we know what we know what to do down the line.”
If people are asymptomatic, they can walk in at any time in East Brunswick or in Franklin Park — no appointment is necessary. If people have symptoms, the urgent care does ask you to reserve a time slot for a drive-through test to keep from spreading germs.
