As the heat wave continues in the Bronx Thursday, residents are being urged to take necessary precautions. They city has reported an increase in EMS calls for minor heat-related medical conditions. At risk residents, including those with heart and respiratory conditions and the elderly, are being urged to stay indoors. Mayor Bloomberg (R-NY) is also asking all Bronx and city residents to conserve energy as the extreme temperatures are expected to end Friday.
