Rain or shine, Friday was the Fourth of July.

Bronx residents celebrated Independence Day in spite of the weather.

Some fired up the grill while others spent their holiday near the water, trying to get as much sun as they could on a cloudy July 4. 

The weekend is expected to be nicer than Friday's dreary weather.
