A Bronx Charter School coach has been arrested for raping a 14-year-old girl in 2024.
Police sources confirm that Jayvone Johnson, 34, was a coach at Icahn Charter School 2.
A spokesperson for the school says that they take school safety very seriously and are fully cooperating with the investigation. They also confirm that Johnson no longer works for the school.
The NYPD is asking other victims to com forward by calling the NYPD's Sex Crimes Hotline at 1-212-267-RAPE (7273) or the Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.
