Bordentown honored a native veteran who was killed while helping people in Ukraine. 
Pete Reed, 33, was a medic and Marine who spent months in the country running field operations for global outreach doctors.  
He was evacuating civilians when a missile hit his ambulance, killing him. 
A service was held at the Bordentown City Veterans' Memorial to honor his sacrifice. 
Reed had a long history of helping people in times of need and founded his own nonprofit organization after serving in places like Afghanistan. He also worked with humanitarian organization Global Outreach Doctors.
