Body pulled from Keyport Harbor near area where 74-year-old kayaker went missing last week

An autopsy is underway as authorities try to identify the body found.

Police announced Sunday that a body of an adult male has been recovered from Keyport Harbor.
Police have not released the identity of the body that was found washed up near American Legion Drive. This is near the area where the belongings of missing kayaker Zhenjiang Ding was found last week.
Ding, 74, went missing a week ago as he was kayaking in the harbor. A search was called off after crews worked for almost two days to find him.
An autopsy is underway as authorities try to identify the body found.
Keyport Police Department is urging the public to respect the privacy of the individual's family. They are also asking the public to refrain from speculation until they can provide verified information.
