Newly released body camera video is shedding light on a fatal police shooting in Ocean County.

The New Jersey Attorney General's Office has released footage from the March incident involving 55-year-old Susanne Clarke in Lacey Township.

According to investigators, Clarke called 911 reporting a heart attack.

Authorities say when officers arrived, Clarke did not cooperate with police or emergency responders.

The Attorney General's Office says Officer Dallas Gant later observed a dog inside the home suffering from a stab wound.

Investigators say officers then entered the residence.

Video released by the state shows officers ordering Clarke to drop a knife moments before shots were fired.

Authorities say Clarke was shot and killed during the encounter.

The Attorney General's Office is reviewing the incident to determine whether the officers' actions were legally justified.

Officials released the footage as part of that ongoing review.
