Prosecutor: Bloomfield man arrested after walking around Montville HS

A Bloomfield man was arrested after he was found walking around Montville High School, according to the Morris Country Prosecutors Office and Montville police.
Authorities say the high school went into a shelter-in-place mode Thursday morning after Charles Banaciski III was found by a school staff member.
Banaciski, 19, of Bloomfield, has been charged with the unlicensed entry of a structure.
On Thursday, surveillance footage showed an unknown adult male arrive at the high school at 6:30 a.m. The person proceeded to walk around the building while wearing a backpack. A staff member confronted him, who allegedly claimed to be a student. He left when confronted.
Prosecutors say Banaciski was arrested at his residence in Bloomfield. The investigation remains ongoing.
