Bloomfield College is getting a big boost to help minorities get into science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields.
The goal of the $3 million grant from Predominantly Black Institutions Competitive Grant Program is to help more minorities graduate from STEM fields.
Bloomfield College will be receiving $600,000 every year for five years.
The goal is to work with minority students from junior high all the way through higher education.
