(AP) - Mayor Michael Bloomberg and other officials are urging Congress to make sure a program that helps the city protect against a radiological or nuclear terrorist attack gets adequately funded.
Bloomberg was joined at a news conference Sunday by Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly, Rep. Peter King and Sen. Joseph Lieberman of Connecticut.
They urged Congress to make sure the "Securing the Cities" program gets enough money. The act that funds the program is currently under consideration in committee.
