The Big Duck in Flanders is now lit up for the holidays.
News 12 was in Flanders Wednesday night for the celebration of the annual holiday lighting of the Long Island's historic landmark.
Nancy Greenseich, with the Suffolk County Parks Department, tells News 12 that a cardinal ornament on The Big Duck this year has a special meaning because it honors two parks workers.
"We lost two people in the Parks Department that were involved with The Big Duck; it was Mr. T and Eric, and there's a special ornament on there now for them," said Greenseich.
