(AP) - Vice President Joe Biden says Gov. JonCorzine is just the type of leader New Jersey needs for the nextfour years.
Biden told a crowd of several hundred at Middlesex CountyCollege in Edison that New Jersey and the nation need "smart,honest, serious politicians who get it."
Monday's appearance was Biden's second trip to New Jersey thismonth to campaign with Corzine.
It kicks off a star-studded week of visits by prominentDemocrats backing Corzine against Republican Chris Christie andindependent Chris Daggett in New Jersey's tight race for governor.
Former President Bill Clinton will attend two rallies forCorzine on Tuesday. President Obama will be in the Garden State onWednesday for a Corzine rally in Hackensack.
