It's Tuesday and that means it's time to check out another spot that makes up the best of New Jersey. And this morning, meteorologist Mike Rizzo takes us to the Shannon Rose in Clifton. I'm here in Clifton at the Shannon Rose with Shannon herself and Shannon. Your place is beautiful. What's the history? Where did all this idea come from when we had a location for, to create our new concept? Um My family decided to think about what we liked and we like to be together, eat good food, drink good beverages and just have a lot of fun. So why not give that to everybody else and create an Irish pub? And there's a huge atmosphere here. We have four rooms, the patio, right? What's all that about? We actually have five rooms. We have the Victorian room when we walk into um the pub which is like you're in Dublin. So really classy a lot of um dark woods and then you walk around, it's one big circle. You can go into the cottage room and then the brewery, the Gaelic room, the cottage, and then we have a sports pub outside um that connects with our patio, five rooms and a fun time. Right? And delicious. A lot of food. Of course, we have Irish fare. This is our heart battered fish and chips, but we like to keep everything fresh. So we have a lot of lunch items like this, uh, turkey sandwich. We have this new item, which is a Caesar salad pizza. And of course, lots of main dishes, uh, like this herb crusted, uh, salmon dish and this is just a small taste of what you offer. Right. Shannon, thank you. It's Tuesday and that means it's time to check out another spot that makes up the best of New Jersey. And this morning, meteorologist Mike Rizzo takes us to the Shannon Rose in Clifton. Do you like bacon? I'm now in the kitchen at the Shannon Rose with chef Alex. What's, what's coming out here? As you can see, I got the bacon is my jam burger right here. Bacon three different ways with the bacon jam. We got a crack crack bacon sauce and bacon. Even push into the smash burger we have here. It smells amazing too. It's fantastic. A little bit of sweet, a little bit of savory. We kind of elevated it with a nice little mayonnaise crack sauce that we make in house. A little, a little bit of spice. A little more sweet and spice in my opinion, but it goes great with anything we have in house. And there's what's this murder burger that I'm hearing about? So Murder Burger is deep fried burger. Two different types of cheeses, lettuce, tomato onion pickles, a little bit of sauce in there as well. We encase it in our beer batter and we deep fry it. So it case all that flavor in juice and we take it out juicy. You see everything pop out. I love that. That amazing. What other kind of foods do you serve here at? The Shannon roast? A couple p favorites, right? We have our mac and cheese egg rolls that are really popular. We have our, uh, corned beef spring rolls that we make in house. We have a giant pretzel that we like to do as well and some loaded nachos come out. And what do you pair all this with, uh, you pair anything more than 32 beers in house. I like a nice Guinness or a nice idea that goes on mine. And that's, that's it right here. You gotta check it out because this place, it, it specializes in a pub fair with an Irish specialty. It's Tuesday and that means it's time to check out another spot that makes up the best of New Jersey. And this morning, meteorologist Mike Rizzo is taking us to Shannon Rose in Clifton. If you want a piece of Irish history, this place has been open for 17 years here in Clifton. I'm with Shannon of the Shannon Rose and General Manager Emily here, you guys have an amazing place. But one question for you guys, when someone walks into your establishment, what do you want them to experience? We want them to have fun. We want to feel like they're at home and we want them to meet new friends, bring their old friends and just enjoy good food and good drink. And I'll tell you walking in through these doors. I felt so welcomes here. It's truly a beautiful place and there's beautiful people inside as well. We also really love to have events here. We have private parties, we've done weddings, we've done everything pretty much under the sun to this point. So we love having people come in here just feeling at home and just being themselves whenever they come in and you guys are so excited to use this space that we're sitting in too because this is your indoor, outdoor patio, spring and summer are coming and you could eat and drink all of this delicious stuff. I mean, look at that. That's amazing. What is that? So, those are loaded, nachos, uh pretty much layered nachos with beer, cheese, cheddar, jack cheese, avocado, crema, pickled jalapenos, nacho beef, fully loaded, fully loaded and delicious too. And this sampler here. What's that? A little bit of everything? We have some boxy buffalo wings, some mac and cheese, uh spring roll and then um some sliders, of course. And you could pair that with a cocktail or how many beers we have 32 beers on tap. You gotta check it out right here. The Shannon Rose in Clifton.
