Shaw's Book Shop in Westwood is closing its doors after 40 years.

Owner Tom Downs opened up the shop when he was just 19 years old.

Downs says while his loyal customers are upset with his decision, he knows it's time.

"Business has slowed down over the last few years due to Amazon and other various factors,” says Downs. “People using Kndles and things of that nature, so business isn't what it was, so I'm moving on."

The shop will close at the end of the month.
