"Bounce Out The Stigma," a summer basketball program for kids with special needs, got under way today in Wyckoff.
Boys and girls from ages 9 to 20 will participate in series of basketball and motor skills drills in the morning, followed by a session with a motivational speaker.
The program was founded in 2005 by Mike Simmel. "Mighty Mike" Simmel has been a member of the Harlem Wizards professional basketball team and a featured show performer at halftimes since 2001.
