The state has now received dozens of complaints about ticket refunds for the canceled Bamboozle festival. The revival of the popular New Jersey concert was set to take place this weekend in Atlantic City but was canceled just one week before the show.
At least 37 complaints were made to the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs as frustrated ticket holders seek refunds.
A notice posted on Twitter account @BAMTicketing account says BAM tickets bought on the secondary market will be automatically refunded. The tweet says all other BAM tickets have to be refunded by the organizer directly: ticketing@bamboozlefestival.com or info@lincstarevents.com.
According to other Twitter users, refunds have already been issued to buyers using Eventbrite, Ticketmaster and Tixr.
The concert was pulled at the last minute when Atlantic City refused to issue the final permits to organizers, citing a failure to receive required documents. With the event approaching, the city issued a deadline that eventually came and passed. The festival was then canceled.
Before the festival was canceled, some buyers complained about the lineup changing. The festival was set to feature Limp Bizkit, Papa Roach and others playing at one venue 60 miles south of the site where it all began.
Bamboozle Festival started in Asbury Park 20 years ago right as the city was in the process of rebuilding. The show then moved to the Meadowlands parking lot before returning to Asbury Park in 2012.
