New Jersey was slammed with two nor'easters since Thursday, causing flooding, some snow and coastal erosion.
Residents say the back-to-back storms turned their roads into rivers and made travel, mail delivery and garbage collection nearly impossible. Joe Daly, of Port Monmouth, says he worries emergency vehicles can't get up and down the flooded streets if necessary.
The storms also spurred unseasonably cold temperatures. The National Weather Service issued freeze and frost advisories due to the temperature drop.
Federal funds for road reconstruction fell through years ago, residents say. Town officials are now hoping to pave new roads that won't flood as badly.
