Baby sharks and their parents are on display at the Adventure Aquarium in Camden for the second annual Shark Summer event to coincide with Shark Week.

The exhibit allows guests to participate in a wide variety of shark-related experiences. The Adventure Aquarium has the largest shark collection on the East Coast.

"We are obsessed with sharks, so the fact that the media likes Shark Week brings sharks into your home, as well as gets you enticed to come see our sharks that we have loved for years. It opens those doors,” says biologist Samantha Ehinger.

There is the Daddy Shark Central display, a shark suspension bridge, and a shark tunnel. Plus, guests will get a chance to get up close and personal with six sandbar baby sharks in a never-before-seen section of the aquarium.

“So we allow you to see what we do behind the scenes to take care of the animals - and especially focusing on our baby sharks that were born in October,” Ehinger says. “So to see how small they start out. You might be able to see a feed now and then, we do feed them a couple of times a day.”

The baby shark exhibit is included in the regular ticket admission. Shark Summer runs through Labor Day.
