A New Jersey man is among 16 people charged after law enforcement discovered a major drug trafficking ring during a traffic stop in Warwick, New York.
Among those charged is 39-year-old Paul Ekerling, of Toms River.
Authorities say that the investigation stemmed from a 2019 traffic stop where officers found 26,000 oxycodone pills, 300 grams of cocaine and thousands of dollars in cash.
The ring allegedly trafficked drugs to Massachusetts, New York and Pennsylvania.
