5ds agoA Newark man suspected of robbing an Essex County bank in July of 2021 has been convicted.
Authorities say Esau Grant was caught on surveillance video robbing the Capitol One bank on Springfield Avenue after handing the teller a note claiming he had a gun.
Grant fled the scene with $2,300 and was arrested by police two days later, according to authorities. He is scheduled to be sentenced next month.
