Jackson Township's planning board attorney and public defender is out of those positions after he was arrested for allegedly distributing child sex abuse material.
Robert Shea Jr. faces two counts after prosecutors say the attorney used Snapchat to send and receive the images. The attorney was appointed to Jackson Township's planning board.
An investigation found IP addresses at the attorney's Berkeley Township home and Toms River office were used to send the material.
"If anybody has any allegations or anything, please reach out to our attorney Greg McGuckin and report them immediately. We will not stand for this. This is ultimately absolutely horrific and a shock to everyone I think that knew him," said Jackson Township Mayor Jennifer Kuhn.
Robert Shea Jr. was in attendance at Jackson Township's most recent planning board meeting held this past Monday. A judge ruled he will remain locked up until his next hearing scheduled for next Wednesday.
