A man has been killed after he was struck by a box truck in New Brunswick.

The accident happened Tuesday around noon on Livingston Avenue, at the intersection of Suydam Street.

According to authorities, Abel Escamilla, 53, was crossing Livingston Avenue in the crosswalk when he was hit.

The box truck was driven by Daniel Gonzalez, 37.

Authorities say he died at the scene.
