Authorities say a man from Morristown they say
burglarized a beachfront home in Sea Girt and stole the tenants' vehicle and
personal effects while they slept upstairs has been located and criminally
charged.
According
to authorities, Justin Leuzarder, 39, is charged
with third-degree burglary and third-degree theft.
Police responded Aug. 15 around 5:30 a.m. to a home
on the 700 block of Morven Terrace on a report of a burglary. The couple
renting the home noted several items had been stolen, including electronics,
cash, credit cards and the Audi A5 that had been parked in the driveway.
An investigation revealed a suspect, later
identified as Leuzarder, entered the home through an unlocked rear door shortly
after 2 a.m. The couple did not encounter Leuzarder during the course of the
burglary and were uninjured.
Later in the morning, Leuzarder was taken into
custody following a traffic stop in Denville.
The Audi and many of the stolen items were recovered
and returned to their owners.
