Authorities say a man from Ventnor who thought he invited a 15-year-old to his home to engage in sexual acts was instead met by a YouTuber who tries to catch child predators.
Police arrested Joseph M. Manzoni, 56, a month after the confrontation with the YouTuber, charging him with luring and enticing a child by various means.
According to police, Manzoni invited a minor, through an app, to his home to engage in sexual acts. Police say he had been communicating with someone he thought was a teen for about a month.
But Manzoni was surprised to find that instead of the 15-year-old he was expecting, he was met by a vigilante YouTuber who tries to catch child predators.
Reports say the YouTuber went to Mazoni's apartment back in May and engaged in a brief argument with him. Mazoni threw the man out of his home before the YouTuber called police.
Manzoni was released after being charged.
