Authorities say a man was arrested in connection with a fire at a Camden apartment building that left two men dead and multiple people injured.
The Camden County Prosecutor’s Office said late Sunday night that 34-year-old Brandon Adams was charged with two counts of first-degree felony murder. Authorities said Adams is homeless.
The fire early Sunday morning in Camden left at least nine people injured, including a firefighter. Three dozen people were displaced. Authorities say that when firefighters arrived, neighbors had jumped from the second floor to escape.
The American Red Cross is helping 45 people impacted by the fire.
An investigation is ongoing.
