The Union County Prosecutor’s Office has
announced police in Summit
were able to prevent a kidnapping attempt over the weekend after a 19-year-old
woman was approached by a man driving a vehicle.
The incident occurred Saturday shortly after 4 p.m.
According to the preliminary investigation, the victim was walking
on Fernwood Road, near Whittredge Road, when she was approached by an individual driving a

Union County Superior Court.
He’s been charged with first-degree kidnapping.
