The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office has launched an investigation after a fatal shooting in Long Branch.
Authorities say that the shooting happened on Liberty Street near Monmouth Avenue around 2:30 a.m.
The prosecutor’s office did not release any information about the victim or if any arrests were made.
The roads surrounding the scene were closed for a time.
