3h agoThe New Jersey Office of the Attorney General has identified the man killed in a police shooting earlier this week.
The shooting happened in the Laurence Harbor section of Old Bridge Monday afternoon.
Officials say that Officer Christopher Hammel shot and killed Luke Mendez after responding to a call about a dispute at the Woodland Avenue home.
Details about the encounter were not released, but officials say that a knife was found at the scene.
