Authorities are investigating the death of an 11-year-old girl who was found alone in a parked vehicle on Long Island.
According to Suffolk County police, the girl was unresponsive when she was found by her mother Tuesday just before 4 p.m. in a vehicle in the driveway of her home in Coram.
Police say the mother had been running errands with the victim and two other children.

Sometime later, police say the mother couldn't locate her daughter and found her in the car.
She carried her inside, called 911 and administered CPR.
