A Brooklyn man on New Jersey’s “Most Wanted” list was arrested in Pennsylvania Thursday morning.
New Jersey State Police say that 36-year-old Dequan McNeil was arrested in Reading, Pennsylvania, by state troopers and the U.S. Marshal fugitive task force.
Authorities say that McNeil was wanted in connection with a Nov. 9, 2016 home invasion in Woodbine, New Jersey. McNeil and two other accomplices allegedly forced their way into the home and then “severely” beat the homeowner. The homeowner’s small children were tied up and locked in a room, according to police.
State police arrested the two alleged accomplices in August 2017, but police say that McNeil evaded capture.
McNeil now faces several charges including kidnapping, aggravated assault and burglary.
