Authorities say a man from Jersey City, as well as five others, are accused of running a drug lab out of a room at a Secaucus hotel.
Police followed a tip of possible illegal activity in a room at one of the hotels in the Harmon Meadow hotel area last Tuesday.
Five days later, police conducted a search of the room and found two people trying to get rid of suspected cocaine in the sink drain. Police recovered other suspected drug paraphernalia.
According to police, Carlos Burgos, 44, is believed to be the leader of the operation. He was found with nearly $2,300 in suspected drug sales. He was charged with numerous drug offenses.
Four of the five others arrested were also from New Jersey. All have been charged.
Secaucus police declined to name the hotel, citing ongoing police investigations.
