Authorities: 5 Long Branch firefighters treated for heat exhaustion battling fire

Five Long Branch firefighters were treated for heat exhaustion on Thursday while battling a house fire.
Authorities say that four volunteer firefighters and one member of the Uniformed Fire Division were taken to Monmouth Medical Center. Temperatures across New Jersey reached the mid-90s on Thursday.
Officials say that the fire started just before 11:30 a.m. at a home at 82 Washington St. They say that the fire was caused by cooking grease. One person inside the home was also taken to the hospital to be treated for burns.
Officials say that the house is uninhabitable.
