A man from Asbury Park was sentenced to state prison for selling cocaine to an undercover cop, according to Monmouth County prosecutors.
Officials say Tyheim McGhee was sentenced to 12 years on a first-degree possession of a cocaine with the intent to distribute and seven years on a second-degree distribution of cocaine, plus a five-year prison term on a third-degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
During an investigation in February and March 2023, prosecutors say McGhee sold a total of over a half-ounce of cocaine to an undercover officer on four separate occasions. They say a search warrant was conducted at McGhee’s home on Borden Avenue in March 2023 where over 5 ounces of cocaine and items used to sell drugs were found.
McGhee previously entered a plea back in November 2023.
