Two men are facing charges in the 2015 murder of a basketball player, and former draft pick for the New York Knicks.
Mark Holdbrooks, and his accomplice David Victor, have been arrested after a year-long investigation into the death of Michael Wright.
According to the investigation, Holdbrooks reported Wright missing last November from the home they shared in Closter.
Police in Brooklyn found Wright's body two days later in a garbage bag in the back of his own Lexus.
The Medical Examiner says he died from head trauma.
Authorities now say Wright was drugged and killed by Holdbrooks and Victor, also known as King Victor of Brooklyn.
Victor then drove the body to Brooklyn and abandoned the car. Each defendant is being held on $3 million bail.
Both are awaiting extradition from New York to New Jersey.
Wright was drafted by the Knicks in the second round of the 2001 draft, but never played a regular season game for the team.
No motive has been released for why Wright was killed.
