A manhunt is on for a fourth suspect in the execution-style killings in Newark after authorities issued an arrest warrant for a 24-year-old man Saturday.
Police are looking for 24-year-old Rodolfo Godinez, who also goes by the name of Rodolfo Gomez. Published reports say he's originally from Nicaragua. His last-known address is just blocks away from where the murders occurred, in the Ivy Hill section of Newark.
Newark Police Director Garry McCarthy told The Star-Ledger of Newark that Godinez is "a principal player" in the case. He is to be charged with three counts of murder, felony murder and weapons charges.
Four students were shot last week during an apparent robbery attempt. Twenty-year-old Dashon Harvey, 18-year-old Terrance Aeriel and 20-year-old Iofemi Hightower were killed. Aeriel?s sister, Natasha, was shot in the head and survived. She helped police identify a suspect in the case.
Jose Carranza, 28, and two 15-year-old males have been arrested in connection to the killings. Jose Carranza pleaded not guilty Friday. The names of the two other suspects have not been released.
