Fire erupted at a high-rise apartment complex in Newark Tuesday.

Fire officials say the pre-dawn fire at the Stephen Crane Elderly Complex started on the building's fourth-floor. Firefighters were able to contain the blaze, which mostly damaged one apartment. A 72-year-old woman who suffered chest pains was taken to a local hospital. A firefighter also suffered a sprained ankle.

Fire officials are continuing their investigation into what caused the fire.
