The men and women who make up New Jersey's law enforcement were honored Tuesday in Trenton's annual "Blue Mass."
The celebration of law enforcement was held at the Saint Mary of the Assumption Cathedral in Trenton. It honors personnel in Mercer, Monmouth, Ocean and Burlington counties.
"These women and men, they do put their life on the line for us. They protect us, they enable us to sleep at night," said Bishop David O'Connell. "I think that's something that creates a debt that we owe them."
The "Blue Mass" has been held every year for the last 16 years by the Diocese of Trenton.
