A boundary change is now official after Seaside Park approved the annexation of a section of the island previously part of Berkeley Township.
The borough council voted last week to annex a narrow area near Island Beach State Park.
The change brings about 400 full‑time residents into Seaside Park.
Officials said the annexed area includes roughly 1,200 homes, many of them summer rentals and vacation properties.
An announcement was made at Bum Rogers restaurant today, where Seaside Park Councilman Jerry Rotonda joined News 12’s Jim Murdoch.
