Animal control in New Jersey tracked down, contained and tranquilized a 2,500-pound bison roaming free in Monmouth County.

Animal control in New Jersey tracked down, contained and tranquilized a 2,500-pound bison roaming free in Monmouth County.
The bison, named Bison-tennial, was taken back to the large farm where he lives with other bison a few miles away. They are pets and not used for meat.            
The Monmouth County SPCA says while the photo angle makes him look thin, the animal is in ideal shape.
No humans or animals were harmed in the capture.
