New Jersey residents looking to get information on the status of their ANCHOR tax relief payments can once again use the tool provided on the Division of Taxation website.
The site had been down for nearly a week after the agency experienced technical difficulties. The regional information center in Freehold was also closed last week as maintenance on the website continued.
This morning, the agency removed the notice from its website indicating that the tool was unavailable. The tool, which requires users to enter a social security number and zip code, was functioning as of about 8 a.m.
More than 1 million New Jersey residents were scheduled to receive their payments in the past week as the first round of ANCHOR property tax relief benefits are distributed.
“The ANCHOR program delivers crucial property tax relief to millions of New Jerseyans at all stages of life,” wrote State Treasurer Elizabeth Maher Muoio.
Applicants can check the status of their benefits online at the state’s
ANCHOR website.
