The ANCHOR benefits website is down for maintenance for the next week, meaning New Jersey residents will temporarily be unable to check on the status of their tax relief payments.
More than 1 million residents are scheduled to receive those payments this week.
The Division of Taxation says it is experiencing technical difficulties with the ANCHOR benefit status check tool, and it’s currently unavailable until Oct. 23.
The site also says their regional information center in Freehold was closed on Thursday.
A notice on the website says that the division is working to get the tool back online as quickly as possible and that applicants seeking information about ANCHOR should visit the main Division of Taxation website or an in-person outreach event.
