Amtrak wire issues suspend NJ Transit rail service on key lines
NJ Transit rail service is suspended on major lines after Amtrak overhead wire issues disrupt travel near Newark.
The suspension affects the Northeast Corridor Line between Penn Station New York and Trenton.
Service is also suspended on the North Jersey Coast Line between Penn Station New York and Woodbridge.
Raritan Valley Line trains are originating and terminating at Newark Penn Station.
NJ Transit rail tickets and passes are being cross-honored by PATH at Newark, Hoboken and 33rd Street in New York.
Customers are advised to check for alternate service information, NJ Transit said.
