(AP) - New Jersey's aspiring AmericanIdols will get a shot at auditioning Tuesday. Thousands of people from New Jersey and as far away asCalifornia have been flocking to the Meadowlands over the past fewdays to sign up for a chance of getting on the Fox television hitshow. Those hoping for a spot on "American Idol" will have a full 20seconds to prove themselves. That's how long the judges say it takes to recognize genuinetalent. They say they hope no one thinks they can make the cut bygiving an intentionally awful performance. That's a trick they say is getting old. New Jersey is the last of eight audition stops.
