New Jersey members of congress are calling for an investigation into alleged price gouging at Newark Liberty International Airport, as well as other airports across the tri-state area.
Congressmen Bill Pascrell, Donald Payne and Albio Sires wrote a letter to the inspector general of the Port Authority, asking for a wider investigation into high priced items on the menus of businesses at their airports.
Congressman Pascrell wrote on Twitter, "Today, my colleagues and I are calling for a broad investigation into outrageous price gouging at Newark, JFK and LaGuardia airports … Visitors to our region shouldn't be bamboozled $27 for a bottle of beer."
