An alleged killer was hauled into court again Wednesday to enter a plea of not guilty in an Orange detective?s death.
Raynard Brown, 19, is accused of fatally shooting Orange Police Detective Kieran Shields last August. Prosecutors say Brown shot Shields while he was responding to a shooting incident at a home on Taylor Street.
Brown is already serving a 14-year sentence for armed robbery. If he is found guilty in Shields? death, Brown could face life in prison.
Brown is scheduled to attend a status conference on September 21.
