A wolf at Lakota Wolf Preserve in Columbia has died after he was bitten by a rattlesnake.

The owner searched the enclosure and found Cyrus passed. He was only five.

They took him right to the vet for a necropsy to find out what happened. They found a rattlesnake bite on his muzzle. The bite was discovered right at a major artery and nerve bundle, so the venom acted fast, according to officials.
