The Attorney General's Office ruled a police officer in Warren County was justified in the use of deadly force in a shooting in Hardwick on June 12.
The office says officers were called to a report of a domestic dispute. They say Stephen Cogelia threatened to kill his father and was holding a hunting knife.
Cogelia was shot four times by an officer and was killed.
