Westfield will be getting "creepy and kooky" this Halloween to celebrate one of its famous residents.
The Union County town is home to the creator of the Addams Family, cartoonist Charles Addams.
Addams' created family has been featured in comics, television and movies.
Westfield is continuing their Halloween tradition of "AddamsFest" by decorating storefronts and homes in honor of the Addams Family.
Residents say the tradition is a welcome bit of normalcy during the pandemic.
"It's sort of a little bit of spirit that we keep around despite everything that's gone on," says Keanu Oliveria of Boxwood Café Roasters.
The town has activities scheduled throughout the month, including pumpkin carvings and haunted trails.
