A week before he goes back to his position as Senate president, Acting Governor Dick Codey (D-NJ) will give his second State of the State address Tuesday.
Codey is expected to address the issues of property tax reform, transportation funding and how the state will deal with a $5 billion budget deficit. Some say Codey will also layout the challenges Governor-Elect Jon Corzine will face as he takes over the state next week.
Since Codey was sworn in as acting governor, he has made progress on some of the issues he made promises on in his last State of the State address. He is likely to highlight his accomplishments including stem cell research and school security.
